CARD IN A CARD FUN FOLD!

This is an easy fun fold to use to feature beautiful designer series paper. Today I'm featuring the retiring Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. I'm so sorry it's retiring - it is one of my all-time favorite DSPs! I love the variety of flower patterns, the colors and the beautiful gold foil pattern on some of the paper. And right now, it's only $6.00 for this beautiful specialty dsp that was $15.00.

This "Card in a Card" pattern is easy and fast to make.

HOW TO EMBOSS WITH DIES WITH STAMPIN' CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE!

Did you know you can use your dies to emboss on card stock?  And how super cool that you can use the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to do it!

I've used the Brilliant Wings dies to emboss on the front of these cards and then use a sponge dauber to add color:

Butterfly wings embossing both (1)2

Butterfly wings embossing saffron2

I love the embossed image on the card stock.

To do this I've used the regular sandwhich for die cutting, but omitted the thin #2 plate.  I also added the Silicon mat under the paper to be embossed, added the top clear plate and used a piece of regular Basic White card stock on top for a shim.

Watch my video tutorial here to see how to emboss with the dies:

Paper measurements for this card:

Card base (Pool Party or So Saffron) - 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 5 1/2"

DSP (Butterfly Bijou) - 5 1/2 x 4"

Basic White card stock to emboss on - 5 1/2 x 3 1/4"

Basic White card stock for inside sentiment - 5 1/4 x 4"

Scraps of card stock for sentiment

Click on any of the pictures below to order supplies from my online store.  Use the March host code 6NREASKJ at checkout with an order of $50.00 or more (before tax and shipping) and I will send you for FREE the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.  If you order is over $150.00 before tax and shipping do not use the host code so you can get hostess rewards from Stampin' Up.

HEAT EMBOSSING WITH BUTTERFLY BRILLIANCE STAMP SET

Hey there friends, there's a new stamp set that will be released March 2, 2021 and it's a beauty - Butterfly Brilliance is the name of it.  It comes as a suite (Butterfly Bouquet) with coordinating dies and beautiful paper - yum!

Butterfly Bouquet

I just started creating with it, and did some heat embossing with it today.

Butterfly brilliance blue (1)2

The white embossing is pretty on the black card stock.  I added some Bermuda Bay to the large butterfly with Stampin' Blends, but it would be pretty left as just white.

This card is in the same, but the embossed butterfly is colored in Melon Mambo.  I think I would like the white dotted tulle ribbon with it better than the Petal Pink I used, but for now I left the Petal Pink on it.

Here are a few cards:
