Horizontal and Vertical Pop Up Block Cards

Oh you are going to want to make one of these beautiful cards!  It looks complicated, but it's not! And it even fits into Stampin' Up's medium envelopes (A2 size). It's another great way to showcase beautiful designer series paper, or even use up scraps of paper. Inspiration for these cards is from Frances Martin. I saw a video she had posted on YouTube.

I designed a vertical card featuring the Christmas Scotties climbing on some presents! I think you will like it. But first the horizontal card.

The card below was created with the new Fitting Florets designer series paper.  The strips of paper are cut and placed in order to keep the original print pattern. You will find a free Project Sheet with all of the measurements below.  There is also a link to my YouTube replay.

And here's what the card looks like from the top:

This next card has Santa Express designer series paper on it.  It was fun to cut it up and then see it come to life on the card!

And finally, here is the vertical card with the Christmas Scotties (this bundle is retiring!)

Isn't it adorable?

Twisted Ribbon Cards with Christmas Banners Bundle

I love the look of the Twisted Ribbon Pattern on cards.  Have you made any cards using this beautiful pattern? This is my first time and I'm hooked! What a fun, creative way to make beautiful cards! Inspiration for my cards is from Sally at Get Crafty with Sally.  I watched her YouTube video and got inspired! There is a link below to the Free Project Sheet that you can download. There's also a link to the YouTube replay if you missed my live tonight.

Anyways, here's the first card I made tonight:

Twisted ribbon card garden green2

I used contrasting paper from the Painted Christmas DSP for the ribbon twist. The banner from the Christmas Banners set goes nicely across the front. The Garden Green layer is embossed with the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  I love the Evergreen Pattern.

The second card is a little different in that the strips of paper for the ribbon twist are only 1/2" in width, and I actually used ribbon instead of paper for the lighter color.

And with the third card, I've laid out the pattern going horizontally across the front rather than vertically. I like the rustic look of this card:

Blessing Boxes for Your Thanksgiving Table

These little boxes are so adorable and a great item to fill with special treats! You can dress up your Thanksgiving table and make your guests feel special at the same time!  Inspiration for these boxes is from Tammy White at Stamp with Tammy.  I've changed the dsp measurements a wee bit and used some punches to add a different look.

Aren't they cute? And here's a view from the side:

I used the Texture Chic DSP on this box which gives it a different look:

Here's a pic of several cards made with the same layout with the Boughs of Holly DSP:

Here's one up close:

The layout is simple, yet the cards are so pretty!

Here are the Paper Measurements for this card:

Thick Basic White Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

Basic White Card Stock - 1" x 4" for sentiment

Boughs of Holly designer series paper - 5 1/4 x 4"

Glimmer Paper or Foil - 1/2" x 4"

I used the sentiment from the Very Best Occasions stamp set that says "endlessly Grateful" and "You're the best ever!" This is a great set with sentiments for many occasions!

DELIGHTFUL CARDS WITH THE SWEET CANDY CANES BUNDLE!

Candy Canes take me back to Christmas's of my childhood - red and white hard candy with that peppermint smell and crunch! We usually had a few sprinkled in our Christmas stocking or hung on the tree. That's one reason I love the Sweet Candy Canes Bundle - the nostalgia and sweet memories from years gone by!

It's so easy to make eye catching cards with this bundle and also the beautiful designer series paper.  The DSP even has candy canes you can die cut out if you don't feel like stamping!

Did I mention there is a free project sheet? The link for the project sheet is toward the end of this post.

This card highlights the combination of Pool Party and Real Red Colors with a touch of Basic White -

And don't you just love that large Basic White die cut? The tag is so cool with it's die cut circles in each end to pull ribbon through. So simple, yet adds a lot in looks and ease in making a beautiful card!

The next card is a card recipe that features designer series paper -

Sweet candy canes dsp card2

The card base is only 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, so the dsp on the front also reveals the pattern on the back when the card is opened:

This is a great card recipe to use up dsp with.

And last, I created a fun fold Gift Card Holder:

Sweet Candy Canes Bundle Gift Card2

This is another neat card recipe that uses the large die cut from the Scalloped Contour dies as the gift card holder.  Here's a look at the inside of the card:
