Three Quilt-Style Cards You can Make!

There's just something cozy about a homemade quilt that's made with love and warmth. Well, I have three cards that you will want to make to give at Christmas to those you care about. They each have some aspect of quilting that's part of the card design.

Want the tutorial and kits to make 2 of each of these cards? Place an order of $35.00 or more in my online store using host code JFV3BRA6 at checkout. I will send you the PDF tutorial and the pre-cut card stock and DSP to make 6 cards (2 of each). You must make your purchase by Sunday Oct. 30, 2022 at midnight.

Quilted cards2

The first card has a pinwheel pattern on the front with scoring that looks like hand quilting on a quilt. It's simplicity makes it beautiful.

Quilted card red2

The Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper looks like Batik Fabric with it's light and dark shades of red.

The second card or ornament is made with the Card Trick Quilt Pattern. I used Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper and squares of Evening Evergreen alternating with each other to create the pattern.  The Barn on the front from the Christmas Barn Bundle brings back fond memories for me of when we milked cows on the farm.

Quilted card ornament2

I used Craft White Ink on and around the barn to look like snow.

The third card is the Herringbone Pattern and is so much fun to make!

The bright colors remind me of ribbon candy!

POP UP CARD AND MORE WITH CHRISTMAS SCOTTIE BUNDLE

I just love the Christmas Scottie Bundle! It's soooo CUTE and makes it so easy to make cute projects!  I have some fun ones for you! You will find a PDF with the supplies and measurements below, as well as a link to the YouTube FB replay.

The first of the three projects is a snack holder - easy peasy origami fold that you can use to dress up a lot of different treats.

Christmas scottie snack holder2

I have a beef stick in this one, but how about a doggie treat for your neighbor or family member that has a dog?

The tag base is die cut with one of the dies from the Celebrations Tags Die Set. The Scottie dog is layered on top, and then a banner with dog talk for "yum" - "woof woof!"

Watch the video tutorial to see how to do this easy origami fold.

The next project is a cute card with blocks of layers show casing DSP (designer series paper). I've used the Sweetest Christmas DSP which is on back order now, but will be available Oct. 24th or around there.

Christmas Scottie green and white card2

I used the Stamp-A-Ratus to stamp the Scottie in the lower right corner. When stamping such a large image it's a good idea to use that tool. Again, will find the measurements for this card in the free PDF link below.

And here is the Pop-Up-Card.  What a fun card to give and to receive!

When the card is opened these two cuties pop up inside!

Unique Cards with Peace to You Stamp Set

I have two unique cards to share with you that are so beautiful.  Both are made with the Peace to You stamp set. I love the images in this set and the font the sentiments are in. There is a link below for the PDF that has photos and measurements to make each of these card designs. There is also a link to watch the replay on my YouTube channel.

The first card I want to share with you is a card I made for a challenge.  The front layer is covered with 3/8" paper strips for the background. I've used shades of blue - Balmy Blue, Orchid Oasis, and Starry Sky.

PEACE TO YOU PAPER STRIPS CARD2

Again, you can visit the link below to see the replay on my YouTube channel to see how to make this card and the measurements are in the free PDF.

The second card is a Front Pop-Out Card. This card was inspired by a video by Lisa Curcio which you can find on her YouTube channel.  My card is a little bit different in that I placed a stamped image on the inside of the card.

PEACE TO YOU POP OUT CHURCH CARD2

Isn't it pretty? It's great because it will fold up and fit into our medium sized envelopes.  It may be a bit heavier though.

I used the lovely True Beauty stamp set for the floral image on these cards. (There is a list of supplies at the end of this blog and you can click and order them).

TRUE BEAUTY KRAFT THANK YOUS2

The flower is stamped with Calypso Coral Ink. The strip of gingham paper is from the Gignham Cottage Designer Series Pack.  This pack of paper is a must-have for me right now for fall and Christmas cards.

I used the Kraft Note Cards and envelopes to make this card.  The card front is 3 1/2 x 5" and is a bit smaller than I'm used to working with, but I like them.

I also added a strip of the Gingham Cottage designer series paper to the envelope flap.  I cut a piece that was 2 1/4 x 5 3/4" and adhered it onto the flap and then trimmed around the edges.

True beauty kraft card and envelope2

For the top layer on the front I cut a piece of 6 x 6 Kraft Paper for the top layer and then embossed it with the beautiful Pretty F,lowers 3D embossing folder:

The stem and leaves are stamped with Old Olive Ink and the sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede.

Three CASED Cards from the Catalog with Lights Aglow Suite

The Lights Aglow Suite has just about everything you need to make beautiful Chirstmas cards - two gorgeous bundles, ribbon, special papers and gems - yum!

Tonight I shared three cards with this suite that I CASED (Copy and share everywhere or something like that ha ha) from the catalog. These cards are on page 30 of the Mini Catalog (July-December). The third card has a bit of a twist at the end that might surprise you!

Lights aglow cards2

Aren't they pretty?

I really like the effect of using the Diorama Layering Dies to frame the tree on this card:

Also, did you notice the gems on the tree? I used the Elegant Faceted Gems to finish decorating the tree.

The second card has a layer of embossed snowflakes behind the sentiment:

The Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon adds just the right color accent.

The third card is really a pocket card/gift card holder. Using kraft paper as the base with an attached belly band, you can slide the pocket in and out of it.  DSP is from the Celebrate Everything DSP pack, which is only available as a hostess item.

Snowflakes are die cut from the gold Glimmer Specialty Paper. The layers on the belly band add dimension and interest to the pocket card.
