Cards with Apple Harvest Stamp Set and Layered Strips Card Base

This card recipe is a great way to use up left over strips of paper in a beautiful way! The strips are layered diagonally on the front of the card base which creates a back drop of color and interest. Other layers include vellum, a Basic White circle and the beautiful stamped image from Apple Harvest Stamp Set. I love a card with lots of layers!

Apple harvest cards FB live22

As you can see, there are two cards.  One is a little more stepped up (the one on the left). I'm not sure which one I like better. How about you?

Here is the simpler card:

Isn't it pretty? I love how the black embossed sentiment compliments the other colors.

Here is the other card. Extras include white embossed flowers and the Mini Ruffled Ribbon.

"Squirrelly" Dutch Door Card

Let's celebrate early Fall with this cute Dutch Door Card featuring the Nuts about Squirrels Stamp Set.  It's so darn cute and so are they - unless they are in your attic of course.

Nuts about Squirrels dutch door card2

I like this particular Dutch Door fold which I got in a swap years ago from Beth Erbelding. Her card featured a different stamp set and DSP.

Here's what it looks like with one side open:

And then here's the card fully opened:

Shaker Card with Hello Harvest Bundle and Splendid Day DSP

Make these shaker cards for something a little extra special to have on hand to give to friends and family.  The Splendid Day Specialty DSP is so bright and pretty with it's brilliant foils which adds an extra touch. These cards are not in traditional Fall colors which makes them even more eye-catching.

Shaker cards with rustic pumpkin dies2

The pumpkin image in each of these cards is stamped on vellum card stock. I used the For Everything Sequins in each of these shaker cards.

The Sea Foam card is my favorite:

Shaker card sea foam rustic pumpkin dies

The pumpkin is stamped in Pear Pizzaz and then colored in on the back of the vellum with Mint Macaron.

How about a totally non-tradition color - a pink pumpkin! The pumpkin below was stamped in Polished Pink on Vellum and colored in with Polished Pink Blends on the bakc of the vellum.

And the last card is done in gold.  I stamped the pumpkin image in Versamark ink and then added gold embossing powder, heating until the powder is melted and a shiny gold color. The flower spray was also embossed with gold embossing powder.

The Pumpkin was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored with Stampin' Blends (Cajun Craze and Old Olive). The Old Olive was added to some areas of the pumpkin and then I added Cajun Craze blended over the top of it to give the pumpkin a more natural look:

How to Create an Ombre Look with Silver & Gold Designer Series Paper

The Silver & Gold DSP pack is one of the free items in the Salabration catalog (page 10). It is a hidden gem because you can do so much with it! In today's episode of Farm Fresh cards I showed how to use blending  brushes on it to create your own "ombre" effect.  It's sooo pretty!

Here's the card I made today:

Sending Butterflies pink2

Isn't that pretty?  The Silver & Gold DSP is on the envelope flat and also the top layer behind the butterflies.  The colors on the piece on this card are Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana.  The gems on the butterflies are from the Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems in the July-Dec. Mini Catalog and they go so nicely with this card. I also used the Sending Smiles Bundle and the Brilliant Wings Dies from the Annual Catalog.

Below this card is pictured with a card I did using the gold DSP:

Sending butterflies both2

Measurments for this card:

4 1/4 x 11" Card stock for base scored at 5 1/2"

Basic Black Layer - 3 1/4 x 5 1/2"

Gold and Silver DSP - 3 x 5 1/2"

Basic White for inside sentiment piece: 5 1/4 x 4"

All-Occasion Cards with Perched in a Tree Bundle

Did you know the dies from the Perched in a Tree Bundle are a new FREE Salabration item? I just love this set - The Aspen Tree Dies remind me of the woods and forests where I live. The dies are FREE with an order of $100.00 until August 31st. The link for the Free PDF for my cards is at the end of this post. If you shop with me and place an order of $35.00 or more using host code TUYF6GF7 at checkout I will send you a kit for each of these cards.  Everything will be pre-cut for you to put them together.  You will need stamps and ink. Orders must  be placed by Friday, August 12, 2022 at midnight. If you need help, email me at [email protected]

This set is so versatile for making cards for all occasions - even Christmas! One of the sentiments in the set is "Let Heaven and Nature Sing" which is one of the phrases from the Christmas Carol "Joy to the World." But, let's move onto using it for something else - a thank you, a note of encouragement, or "Happy Birthday."

Perched in a tree faith plain2

The card (above) is a large fun fold card. I used the forest die shape on the front of the card and the lovely Pretty Prints DSP behind it. Again, you will find measurements and supplies in the free PDF.

Perched in a tree fun fold flat2

For the fun fold card above, I used one of the Pretty Prints DSP in Evening Evergreen. As you can see, I did not use the whole die cut forest image, just the middle section of it.

And then the lovely pink card below also has just a portion of the die cut trees. The DSP is from Texture Chic and I love the flecks of gold in it. I've added gold leaves using Distressed Gold DSP and then also embossed the bird with gold embossing powder.

Stair Stepper Card With Trees for Sale Stamp Set and Dies

This stamp set and dies takes me back to a Christmas memory of my childhood.  At Christmas the Boy Scout's tree lot was just down the road - rows of trees to choose from surrounded by strings of yellow bulbs that lit up the dark winter sky. As kids we were so excited to go "help" pick out a Christmas tree! Dad would load it onto the top of our car (or in the trunk), tie it down and away we went. Good times and fun memories!

I tried to re-create a bit of that memory in this Stair Stepper Card. Some of the trees are die cut and some are stamped and then embossed with White Embossing powder to create the snow.

Trees for sail stair step card2

The little trailer looks inviting with the warm yellow in the windows and the sweet wreath on the door.

Here's a side view of the card:

Trees for sale side view2

As you can see there are three "hills" to decorate. On the large back panel I stamped the trees in Shaded Spruce and then stamped the snow in Versamark Ink and added White Embossing Powder. The dog is die cut with Soft Suede card stock.

The middle portion has two die cut trees with the die cut snow layer, and l poles holding the lights.  I added an Iridescent Rhinestone to each bulb to make it look like it was lit. The "Trees for Sale" sign is leaning against two of the die cut trees.

The little camper in the front is all aglow for the holiday.

On the back I stamped the dog and the cut paw prints.  I think they are adorable!
