There are so many occasions we can use gift card holders for - birthdays, graduation, weddings, baby showers and more! This is a pretty gift card holder that's easy to make.  It's a great one to showcase pretty designer series paper. Inspiration for this card is from Tami White at stampwithtami.com.  I've added a little more designer series paper.  Here's a pic of three completely different gift card holders:

One uses the lovely Sunshine and Rainbows DSP.  The one on the right uses the Heart & Home DSP and the Special Moments stamp set.  The bottom gift card holder uses the Friendly Hello DSP.  Below is a pic of what the card looks like when it's open:

I've used a circle punch to make the easy access 1/2" circle opening in the DSP that holds the gift card.

This is the gift card holder I made during Monday Mystery Stamping in the Meadow tonight.  It's the first time I used the Waves of Inspiration stamp set, and I can't wait to use it some more!

This card started with making an Origami Pocket.  I saw Jeri from Recycled Parts 4 Art on YouTube show how to make a simple Origami Pocket.  Hmmm...wouldn't it be pretty with some posies sprouting from the pocket! I used the lovely Friendly Hello designer series paper, (which is free right now for a few more days) with a 100.00 order.  (It comes with a beautiful stamp set too.) 

Here's the Petal Pink card:

You can see there is a layer of Basic White that is embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  I love the texture and the "country feel" it gives.  Here's the Pool Party version:

I decided to framt he pocket and the white layer in Basic Black.  I think it helps it pop.  I also really like the Poppy Parade inked flowers.

And here's the third card:

Soft Seafoam was used for the framed layers on this card.

It was a lot of fun to create these cards with the lovely Daffodil Afternoon DSP. This DSP is available for free with a $50.00 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  And Sale-A-Bration is only here for another week! I've used one card sketch, but each card has a different look.  I've made a couple vertically and a couple horizontally.  

This is the first one I made:

All of the sentiments are from the Special Moments stamp set, which is another free item during Sale-a-Bration. Special Moments has quite a variety of stamps for different occasions.

This is the second card I made:

I added a piece of Very Vanilla die cut with one of the border dies.  The sentiment piece on this one is turned on point.

Measurements for this card:

8 1/2 x 5 1/2" card stock for base, scored at 4 1/4"

6 x 6 DSP, cut down to 4 x 6"; (save the 2" piece for the wrap)

Scrap pieces for daisy, leaves, and sentiment.

Score the 6 x 4" piece of dsp on the 6" side at 1 and 5." (Place the side you want for the front face down). Turn the dsp so the 4" side is up vertical.  Score a diagonal from the end of the top 1" score line to the opposite side at the end of the bottom score line, making a "Z." Fold the left side toward the right side on the diagonal.  Fold the 1" flap on the right in toward the dsp.  Fold the little triangle at the top over the end.  Glue this piece to the front of the card. Cut the 2 x 6" piece down to 2 x 5 1/2" and wrap on the card as shown in the video tutorial.

Friendly Hello is a beautiful bundle - tropical images and sentiments in the stamp set and gorgeous designer series paper - ooo-la-la! I love the images and the paper!  It's also FREE during Salabration with a $100.00 order. It's only available during Salabration, so if you want it, scoop it up now!

The sketch I featured in mystery stamping tonight had lots of layers.  Also cool that you can use this sketch (card) vertically or horizontally!

Here's one in Petal Pink that is a horizontal card:

The first layer is embossed with the Bouquet of Love embossing folder.  The heart in the center doesn't show, so you have just the lovely floral embossing showing.

February Sweet Notes Card Club - ah - springtime - a little early! I don't know about you, but I certainly need it.  We have about 18" of snow on the ground.  Just the thought of spring and new life brings a little relief! So the February Sweet Notes Card Club will feature the lovely Flowering Tulips Bundle that is part of the Flower Fields Suite!

Aren't the colors gorgeous? Sigh - springtime. :)

Here's a little more about Sweet Notes Card Club?

I've had these dies for a few months and thought I should finally try them out. They look a little overwhelming - there's so many dies and what is each one supposed to do?  I get the clouds and the hearts and the stars, but what about everything else ha ha?

I did manage to figure out what they do and came up with a few cards:

I've seen the dies used in many different ways with many different stamp sets. These cards were inspired by a YouTube video by LynnieC Designs. Here's a close up of my cards. This one is my favorite.

The DSP is from Sunshine and Rainbows Salabration paper.  It's free with a $50.00 order (at least until February 28, 2022).  Driving By Stamp Set is also a Salabration item that's free with a $50.00 order. The road line is from the Pattern Party DSP.

The card below is similar except I've used Magenta Madness for the pink and DSP for the sky from the Simply Marbelous DSP - another free salabration pack!

See the tiny arrow at the bottom below the spinner tab?  That's from one of the dies in the set. The next card uses the van from Driving By.  I've cut out a flower from the Pattern Play DSP and put it on the door to make it look like a retro 70s van:

DSP for the night sky is from the Sunshine and Rainbows Salabration paper.

5 1/2 x 8 1/2" card base scored at 4 1/4"

Card layer - 5 3/8 x 4 1/8"

DSP for front die cut rectangle - 5 1/4 x 4"

Black card stock for road - 5 1/4 x 1 1/4" (die cut with lower part of rectangle where wheel well is)

Basic White - large piece for circle mechanism; scrap piece for car/van; scrap pieces for clouds; scrap piece for circle to go on the inside over the mechanism.
