Showcasing New Product - Friendly Hello Stamp Set during Monday Mystery Stamping

Wow - there are some beautiful new products that will be available January 4th in the new January-June Mini Catalog (and upcoming Sale-A-Bration)! I'm sharing a couple of them with you in this post - Friendly Hello Stamp Set and Friendly Hello Designers Series Paper. These are paired together as a free choice in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog with a $100.00 purchase.

I love the mixed font style in this stamp set and variety of sentiments! The DSP showcases beautiful soft colors and makes me think of springtime!

We made this flap card tonight in Monday Mystery Stamping in the Meadow:

Friendly hello flap cards2

I love the layered look with the black card stock framing the DSP.  The black card stock pulls out the black framing of the images in the designer series paper.

Friendly hello freesia flap card2

I've used Stampin' Blends to color in the bird and the branch of flowers on the front. I've left some of the images "not colored" simply so there aren't a lot of different colors on the card, and the main colors of black and (Freesia in this case) are showecased.

Here's what the card looks like when it's open.  There is a 1" piece of card stock attached to the two large pieces of card stock.

Measurements for the card:

Colored card stock - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4"; 1 x 4 3/4" scored at 1 1/4" on long side; 3 x 5 1/2"

White or Vanilla card stock (sentient pieces) - 4 1/4 x 2 1/4" (two of these)

DSP (designer series paper) - 4 x 5 1/4" and 2 3/4 x 5 1/4" (two of this one).

GATEFOLD CARD WITH SENDING HUGS BUNDLE

One of my favorite things to do is send someone an encouraging card. And I know for myself, it's so encouraging to get a card in the mail - especially these days! And who doesn't need a hug, even if it's a virtual hug! I've partnered the bundle with the bright, cheerful Pattern Party designer series paper.  This is a large stack of beautiful designer series paper that you can purchase if you host a party, and it's the bomb!  Not only does it have beautiful bright patterns,  but the back of each side is some gorgeous black print.  There are flowers, polka dots, stripes, and much more!

Here are the cards I showed in Mystery Stamping tonight:

Healing hugs gatefold cards2

The gatefold is such an easy design to create.  When you add your front layer, make sure you only put glue or adhesive on the left side on the back or you won't be able to open your card ha ha.

Measurements for this card are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" card base, scored on each end of the 8 1/2" side at 2 1/8."

Card stock for layer on front is 4 3/4 x 3 3/4"

DSP is 4 1/2 x 3 1/2"

Card stock for inside is 5 1/4 x 4"

Kylie's International Blog Hop

I've used the new Blessings of Home stamp set to create these cards. It is part of the Heart & Home Suite which is coming out in the new January - June Mini Catalog. This stamp set will be available to purchase beginning January 4th. It is so beautiful!

Blessings of home thank yous all2

Aren't these pretty?  The designer series paper is part of the suite also and is called Heart & Home designer series paper.

I stamped the image in Smoky Slate and then colored it in with Stampin' Blends markers.  The colors I used are Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight, and Mint Macaron. I used the light and dark inks for each of these colors. Here's a view of one of the cards up close:

Blessings of home thank you single2

I also used my favorite ribbon - the black and white 3/8" gingham ribbon. It pulls in the black layer and card stock base.

Here are the measurements for this card:

Card base: - 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 4 1/4";

Designer series paper - 5 1/4 x 4"

Black layer - 4 1/4 x 3 1/4"

White artistic layer - 4 x 3"

I hope this helps you look forward to the new January-June Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration that will start January 4th!

Reindeer Origami Candy Cane Pouch

Looking for a quick and easy gift to give to friends, or a Christmas gift tag topper? This could be it!  It's so easy to make and cute to boot! It's also another way to use up that Christmas designer series paper. I learned to make this origami pouch from my upline and mentor Missy Shipman from Glad Heart Stampers!  Thank you Missy! I got to thinking it could be a cute "reindeer."  No tracing a face onto card stock - the shapes are punched with the Penguin Builder punch, which makes it so easy!

Reindeer pouch ornament2

If you don't have the Penguin Builder Punch, you could use an oval for the face and then add the eyes and nose.

Here's a picture of one of them up close:

You need a 6" square of designer series paper to make this pouch. Unfortunately, the black and red check dsp is no longer available.

Tri-Fold Card With Blessings of Home Stamp Set

The Blessings of Home Stamp Set is going to be in the January - June 2022 MIni Catalog, but because I'm a demonstrator, I was able to get it early and make some beautiful cards! (You can get it early too if you buy the starter kit hint hint :) Here's the card I made tonight:

Blessings of home purple2

The designer series paper is from the same suite and is called "Blessings of Home." It has beautiful wood prints on the back of each piece.  You can see it here on the inside of the card:

Blessings of home purple inside (1)2

The beautiful doily is part of this suite too!

And here's the tri-fold card laid out:

Blessings of home purple laid out2

The blends I used were Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia and Mint Macaron.  The main image for the flowers was stamped in Black Memento Tuxedo ink because it keeps the blends from running. I stamped it off first, so it wasn't so dark black.  I like the look of it.

Measurements for this card:

Base: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4"; and 4 x 3" (same color as base); Large circle.

Basic White: 5 1/4 x 2 1/2; white circle; 3 3/4 x 2 3/4"

DSP 5 1/2 x 12 scored at 3 1/2, 6, and 8 1/2'

Origami Wreath Ornament

You know all of that Christmas designer series paper that's sitting in your craft area?  This is a great way to use it, give it away, and get it out of your craft room! I saw this wreath and just loved it.  It is a little more complicated to fold than other origami wreaths I've seen, but boy is it beautiful!  It would be lovely on a gift, a tree, or just by itself!  Inspiration for this wreath is from watching Ann Melvin of Positively Papercraft on YouTube.

I've used the Whimsy and Wonder DSP because I love the colors and the flecks of silver foil. But, I plan on using my other holiday dsp also!

Origami wreaths2

And take a look at how pretty the back is.  I love the woven look!  You could even make it the front of the wreath if you wanted.

Origami wreath back2

You need eight 3" squares to make this size, but you could use 4" or 2".

Origami wreath2

You also need to use a bone folder to really crease the paper and break down the fibers for a good fold.

Not sure I like the ribbon this way. Instead of tying the ribbon around it, you can punch a hole in one of the star points and tie ribbon through that. I'm gonna try that next.
