How to Make a Front Pocket Gift Card Holder

We all need gift cards this time of year, and I've got an easy one to share with you.  Not only that, it's cute!  How could it not be with the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set and Gingerbread and Peppermint DSP? (DSP - designer series paper). Here is the first one I made  - my favorite with the little bow at the top:

Frosted gingerbread gift card holder red2

The Holiday Rhinestones add a little sparkle to that gingerbread tree!  Here's the green version:

Frosted Gingerbread gift card holder green2

Oh my, I can just smell the gingerbread cookies baking from many years ago!  Mom always baked with love!

Back to the card - here's the inside:

Frosted Gingerbread gift card inside2

The measurements for this card are:

Card base - 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2"

DSP for front - 1 x 4 1/4"; 4 x 4 1/2"; 1 x 2" (3 of these)

Basic White for front sentiment/pocket - 3 x 3 1/2"

Basic White for inside sentiment - 5 1/4 x 4"

Make a Retro Circle Swirl Card!

This card design is so retro!  I love how the circles are used to create the swirly look of this card.  I've used designer series paper, but you can use card stock or foil as well. The designer series paper is the cute Gingerbread and Peppermint paper, which is kinda retro itself.  Here's a picture of the cards:

Retro Circle Swirl Card2

Here are the measurements:

Card base - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4"

Light colored card stock or designer series paper for front - 3 1/2 x 4 3/4"

Card stock - 1 x 5 1/2"

Three different circles in three different sizes - small, medium and large (1 3/4" to 3" in size). The medium size circle should be the darkest color.

Card stock for inside of card - 5 1/4 x 4"

Make a Latch Fold Card!

Another Monday Mystery Stamping in the Meadow card.  Join me every Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.EST to make a card!  I post the clues on my FB page beforehand.

I love the simplicity of this beautiful card! And of course, that is an apt description of the Peaceful Place designer series paper I used for it - beautiful in it's simplistic shades of gray and silver.

Latch card2

The right front flap of the card tucks under the circle layers of the sentiment. I've used For Unto Us stamp set for the sentiments and the stamped trees are from Peaceful Deer stamp set.

Here's a look at the inside:

Latch card inside2

Yep, I didn't get the clearest image on the sentiment, but will take a Real Red marker and fix it (oops!).

You can watch the YouTube video here:

Here are the measurements for this card:

Card stock - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2"

Card stock - 3 1/2 x 4, score at 3 1/2" on 4" side.

Card stock  - 3 x 3 1/2", score at 3" on the 3 1/2" side

Scrap pieces for circle and sentiment circle.

Card stock - Basic White or Very Vanilla - 5 1/4 x 4"

DSP - 3/4 x 4" (2 of these); 3 1/4 x 3 1/4"; 2 3/4 x 2 3/4"

Kylie's International Blog Hop

I've used the beautiful "Christmas Season" stamp set for my November customer Cards. I love the pine cone and greenery images in this stamp set.  There are no sentiments in this set, to the "thanks so much" is from the "In Symmetry" stamp set.

Christmas season thank yous2

And here is a close up of the card:

Christmas season thank you one2

The pine cone is done with two different stamps.  The largest image is stamped in Crumb Cake ink:

Christmas season pine code crumb cake2

Then the second pine cone image is stamped over the first one

in Soft Suede:

Christmas season pine soft suede2

I then created a mask with a post it note (stamp on post it over sticky part and then cut out ) to lay over the pine cone while I stamp the evergreens and berries:

When all the stamping is done, the 3 x 4" piece is layered onto a piece of Evening Evergreen that's 3 1/4 x 4 1/4" and added to the front of the card.

Thanksgiving Four Flap Fun Fold Card

This is a fun fold that's great for any occasion, but today I'm using it for a Thanksgiving Card. You will be able to show off your beautiful designer series paper with this card and I used - (of course) - the gorgeous Ever Eden dsp! I have a free PDF sheet with supplies and measurements below.

Thanksgiving Four Flap Fun Fold With Edens Garden2

The pumpkin die cuts are from the Detailed Pumpkin Dies.  As you can see, I've layered card stock on gold foil or gold foil on card stock. The pumpkin acts as a latch to hold the card shut.

Here is what the dsp looks like when the card is opened:

Thanksgiving Four Flap Fun Fold dsp2

And here is a look at the inside sentiment piece:

Thanksgiving Four Flap Fun Fold inside2

I've used the "Happy Thanksgiving sentiment from Banner Year stamp set and the beautiful flower from Eden's Garden.  It's stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

And then, there's the dsp that's wrapping around the card, and this is what the back looks like:

Thanksgiving Four Flap Fun Fold back2

This is a great way to use up that dsp that we all have lol.

You can download the tutorial below.

Double Tri-Fold Pop Up Card

This is a wow card with it's double triple panels that showcase beautiful designer series paper. I've used Ever Eden DSP with it's beautiful flecks of gold for this seasonal holiday card. Inspiration for this card is from Dawn Griffeth of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.

Here are a couple of cards:

Ever Eden trifold card2

Even though Ever Eden Designer Series Paper isn't officially Christmas or Holiday DSP, it's beautiful to use for Holiday cards.  I've used the Encircled in Warmth stamp set for the lovely sentiments.

Ever eden trifold single card2

As you can see, there's not much room to sign this card, so I added a panel on the back.  It's the same size as the designer series paper for the large panels ( 5 1/4 x 2 3/4").

Ever eden trifold back2

Here are the measurements for this card:

Card base: thick Basic White -  5 1/2 x 9" scored at 3 and 6"; Small card 3 x 9 scored at 3 and 6"

DSP, 5 1/4 x 2 3/4" (3 of these) and 2 3/4 x 2 3/4" (3 of these).

Basic White Card stock - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2" (2 of these) and 5 1/4 x 2 3/4" for back sentiment.

Shimmery Trees With Evergreen Border Punch

A little extra sparkle is always a good thing! Did you know you can use the White Shimmery Embossing Paste to add texture to card stock? Yep, you can use it to add beautiful sparkle and texture to your cards without using an embossing mask. It's also beautiful as clumps of snow on trees.

Here's a pic of one of the first cards I made.  There are two rows of trees for each color.  The plan card stock is in the back, and the card stock embossed with the Shimmery White Embossing paste is in the front. I was going for an ombre look on the front of this card. (Also, I show you in the video how to line up the card stock in the punch to get a row of trees.)

See the sparkle on the first row of trees?

Here's a pic of cards done in blue:

Same thing on this card.  The trees in each of the first rows were covered with Shimmery White Embossing paste.

And a black, silver and white version:

This card has silver metallic trees in the background in each row.

Which colors do you prefer?

Card stock for all cards (landscape or portrait) is 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 5 1/5".

The sentiment piece on the black and silver cards is 5 x 3/4"
