Change Your Card Background With Embossing Folders

Want to create a little variety in that stack of cards you are working on? Consider changing the background with embossing folders. These cards are almost exactly the same.  But take a look at the background - this one is embossed with snowflakes in the background:

And this card has evergreen trees in the background:

This is how you can make two similar but different cards by just changing the background with an embossing folder.

Click on any of the supplies below to purchase them from my online store.  Place an order of $50.00 or more (before tax and shipping) using the November or December host code, and I will send you the pretty Gilded Gems FREE as a thank you from me. Here's what I used:

ELF GIFT CARD HOLDER

This is fun and easy!  Flash back to "Elf" the movie and his bright green elf suit!  This will not only hold a gift card, but bring a smile to someone's face!

I've used three different die sets to create this cute gift card holder.  The body of the card holder is made with Celebration Labels Dies (You NEED this set)! Collar and Shoes are made with the smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies, and the gold buckle is die cut from the smallest square in the Layering Squares Dies.

Here's my video tutorial - see how easy this is to make!

Click on any of the supplies below to order them from my online store.  Use the November Host code 4J7GFBAU for any order over $49.00 (before tax and shipping), and receive the Gold Glitter Dots FREE as a gift from me!  If your order is $150.00 or more, don't use the Host Code so you will get the Host rewards from Stampin' Up!  I will still send you the Gold Glitter Dots!

Make a Stunning Christmas Card!

I want to show you how to make a stunning Christmas card!  I saw this card on a YouTube video by Linda Bedinger at Ink and Ingenuity, and just loved it.  It features the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper, which is so lovely:

Isn't it pretty?  It is a vellum paper with flocked designs on top.  Just gorgeous!

I've also used the Word Wishes Dies to cut out "Merry Christmas." These dies feature a die cut sentiment for different holidays and are found on page 183 of the Annual Catalog:

And here is the card:

The Plush Poinsettia paper is cut at 5 1/4 x 4"

You will need a piece of Whisper White card stock for the inside - 5 1/4 x 4"

Ribbon is about 10 or 11 inches long.

PRETTY CARD WITH SNOWFLAKE WISHES BUNDLE

Brrr! The first snow blew in this morning with quite a fury! We lost electric amid the snow and wind, but when things calmed down there was the blanket of softly fallen snow.  It came as a reminder that winter is just around the corner! This prompted me to share this lovely card with you today:

The touches of Balmy Blue Shimmer Paper add a touch of elegance and sparkle.  Here's the inside view:
