Its July, but it's not too soon to start making Christmas cards!  The 2019-2020 Holiday Card isn't out yet, but there are beautiful Christmas stamp sets in the Annual Catalog.  Winter Woods is on page 71 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  I love this stamp set because it is so versatile, not only for holiday stamping, but other occasions as well.  

This card is made using the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes set (page 37, 2019-2020 AC).  These are beautiful, pre-made card bases with matching envelopes.  How easy is that?  I wanted to bring out the lovely silver edging on the front of this card.  So, I've heat embossed the background trees and the sentiment with silver embossing powder. A touch of gold is added with the 3/8" metallic ribbon and gold Faceted Gem.  

I've used a tree made from the Gold Foil sheet and one made from Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  Which one do you like?  I lean toward the Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  It does not show up well in these photos, but the tree cut from the Sparkle Glimmer paper really shines!  The trees are cut using In the Woods dies, page 193 in the 1919-2020 AC.

Paper:

Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards and Envelopes

Basic Black cad stock 4 1/4 x 3 1/4

Gold Foil Paper, or Sparkle Glimmer paper

Stamp set:

Winter Woods

Ink:

Versamark Ink

Embellishments: Gold Faceted Gem, Metallic Edge Ribbon

Tools:

Silver embossing powder, Heat tool, Mini Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive

DIRECTIONS:

Run embossing buddy across basic black card stock.  Stamp background trees toward top of black card stock with Versamark Ink.  Cover with silver embossing powder and tap off excess.  Heat with heat tool until shiny and set.  Stamp sentiment with Versamark Ink, cover with embossing powder and heat until set.

Adhere ribbon to lower part of card stock.  Add glue dot to hold in place.  

Adhere card stock to card base.

Adhere tree to front with dimensionals.  

Add Gold Faceted Gem.

I wish I had made this card earlier in the month, close to July 4th.  With the red, white, and blue colors, and red designer series paper cut to look like patriotic drapery, it would have been a delightful birthday card for early July.  I've used the Amazing Everything stamp set to create this fun card.  The large Very Vanilla background is embossed with the Tufted 3D embossing folder. The large word "Amazing" is embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. Directions are below.

SUPPLIES:

Paper - Very Vanilla, Real Red, Blueberry Bushel, Real Red Designer Series Paper.

Ink - Versamark, Real Red ink, Gold embossing powder.

Stamp set - Everything Amazing (p. 20, 2019-2020 Annual Catalog)

Tools - Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Big Shot, Snail Adhesive, Fine Tip glue pen, Mini glue dots.

Embellishments - White Baker's Twine

DIRECTIONS:

Cut Real Red card stock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" for card base and score at 4 1/4."  Cut a Blueberry Bushel piece 5 x 3 3/4" and one at 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 for mat pieces behind the Very Vanilla pieces.  Cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock 4 7/8 x 3 5/8" and a piece 2 5/8 x 3 5/8." Emboss the large piece with the Tufted 3D embossing folder.  Adhere to large Blueberry Bushel mat piece.

Cut a piece of Real Red Designer Series paper 2 x 6" and emboss with the large Delicate Lace Die. Adhere with Fine tip glue pen about halfway down the front of the embossed large Very Vanilla piece.

Run Embossing Buddy across smaller Very Vanilla piece. Stamp with large "Amazing" stamp using Versamark Ink.  Add Gold embossing powder to the ink and dry with Heat tool.  Stamp balloons, stars, and sentiment in Real Red ink.  

Dye White Baker's Twine with Night of Navy ink by running it back and forth across the ink pad.  Let dry, make bow, and adhere below balloons with a glue dot.

Adhere stamped piece to Blueberry Bushel mat piece and place on card with dimensionals.

Hello sweet friends!  Have you seen the new Wish For It All stamp set?  It's all about glitter and shine!  It coordinates with the Doily Wishes dies, and I can't wait to try them out!  This card was CASED from Ronda Wade at Creating Success.  Love the Coastal Cabana and rhinestones. Here's the scoop:

SUPPLIES:

Paper - Gray Granite, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana card stock,  Designer Series Paper, and vellum.

Ink - Bermuda Bay, Tuxedo Black Memento

Stamps - Wish For it All (2019-2020 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog, page 65)

Tools: - Snail Adhesive, Paper cutter, Snips, Dimensionals, mini glue dots

Embellishments - Rhinestones, white baker's twine

DIRECTIONS:

Cut the Gray Granite card stock 8 1/2 x 11" scored at 4 1/4" for card base.  Cut the Designer Series Paper at 2 x 5 1/4."  Cut the vellum 4 x 5." Cut the Coastal Cabana mat piece at 3 x 4, and cut the Whisper White card stock 2 3/4 x 3 3 /4."

Stamp cake and sentiment on Whisper White piece.  On a piece of white scrap paper, stamp the cake again, and fussy cut the top layer and 3rd layer.  Adhere these over the top and third layer of the stamped cake with dimensionals (so they pop up).  Add rhinestones to candles.  Make a bow out of bakers twine and adhere with a mini glue dot.  Adhere this stamped piece to Coastal Cabana mat piece.

Layer DSP on card stock, followed by vellum.  For vellum, run adhesive in the middle so it doesn't show through.  Adhere stamped piece on top of vellum.

I CASED this adorable pull-tab card from Tami White who has a video on Youtube. The little card on the front opens when you pull the tab.  I've used the stamps and sentiment from Animal Outing stamp set, and inside the little card on the front it says "You and I make a great pair." There aren't a lot of mechanics to this card, and I think you would enjoy making it!  Here is the scoop:

SUPPLIES:

STAMP SETS:  Animal Outing

INK: Memento black ink, Gray Granite light and dark Stampin' Blends, Daffodil Delight dark Stampin' Blend, Pumpkin Pie dark Stampin' Blend, Granny Apple Green light and dark Stampin' Blends, Highland Heather light Stampin' Blend, Gorgeous Grape ink pad.

Paper: Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Brights DSP (Grape)

Embellishments:  White Bakers twine, linen thread 

Tools: Die Cutting Machine, Rectangle Stitched Framelits, Stitched Shapes, Delightful Tag Topper Punch, Classic Label Punch, adhesive.

Directions:

1.  Cut Gorgeous Grape 8 1/2 x 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4"

2.  Cut 2 Whisper White pieces ( 1 for layering on front and 1 for inside) with largest stitched rectangle from Rectangle Stitched Framelits.

3.  Cut 1 Gorgeous Grape DSP with 2nd largest rectangle from Rectangle Stitched Framelits. Punch this piece as far over as the punch will go with Classic Label Punch (see photo below).

4.  Cut Gorgeous Grape 2 x 6 1/4" for pull tab.  Score this at 2 and 2 1/4" and punch end with Delightful Tag Topper Punch (see photo below).

5.  Cut two small pieces of Whisper White card stock for layers for little card on pull tab.  Cut one with 2nd largest square stitched framelit, and one with 3rd largest square stitched framelit.

6.  Cut two small pieces of Gorgeous Grape card stock for layers for little card on pull tab.  Cut one with the largest square stitched framelit and one with the 2nd largest square stitched framelit.  

7.  Stamp on white square for front and adhere to Gorgeous Grape mat piece.  Stamp on white square for inside tiny card and adhere to Gorgeous Grape mat piece.

8.  Use tear and tape as shown below on pull tab piece.  The larger sentiment piece will be adhered to the small part of the pull tab between the two score lines.  The smaller sentiment piece will be adhered to the larger area where the tear and tape was laid on the pull tab. 

9. Tie Baker's twin on end of pull tab, and tie linen thread around it.

10. Stamp inside of card, and enjoy!

We all give gift cards for all occasion, from graduations to weddings and birthdays.  This is an easy, cute gift card, and it's made with Designer Series Paper! This awesome card was CASED from Ronda Wade at Creating Success.

To make this card, you will need Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (or other of your choice), 5 1/2 x 11 1/4"  Score this on the 11 1/4" side at 4 1/4, 5, 

5 3/4, 6 1/2, 7 1/4"  This will make a small accordian fold that looks like this when folded:

Start with the middle fold at 5 3/4" and fold like a regular card.  Accordian fold on either side.  This will create a center valley to insert a gift card or cash.  The front will be about 1/4" shorter than the back when folded.  This will show the reverse pattern on the DSP along the right front of the card as shown below:

Use tear and tape along the two valley folds on the spine along the front side of the card.  Flip it over to the inside, and use tear and tape on either end of the center fold, creating a pocket to insert gift card or cash in the middle.

Use the Starburst punch for the starburst shape behind the sentiment tag on the front.  Stamp Whisper White card stock with sentiment and punch out with Pretty Label Punch.

Use 5 x 3 3/4" piece of card stock for inside of card, and bush up against center fold so it doesn't show along the right front side of the card.

I used sentiments from the Above the Clouds stamp set.
