Its the time of year when wedding bells are ringing!  I've been making some bridal shower cards and wedding cards.  I love the gold, navy, and vanilla colors in this card.  The bride image was heat embossed with gold embossing powder on Night of Navy card stock.  The rose is cut out of gold foil, then layered on Very Vanilla and adhered with dimensionals to pop it up a bit.  The Very Vanilla piece under the Night of Navy was embossed with the Tufted embossing folder.  See below for more specific info!

Supplies:

8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Very Vanilla card stock, scored at 4 1/4"

3 1/2" x 4 1/2" Very Vanilla card stock embossed with Tufted embossing folder.

4 1/2" x 3" Night of Navy card stock cut with Rectangular Framelit.

Directions:

Emboss bride image on Night of Navy card stock, using Versamark ink and Night of Navy Card stock.  

Adhere ribbon around top of Navy card stock. (I didn't have gold SU ribbon).

Emboss small Very Vanilla piece with Tufted embossing folder.

Cut Rose image using Rose thinlet from Rose Trellis set.  Fussy cut piece of Very Vanilla to go behind it.

Adhere all pieces to card stock base.  Use dimensionals on rose piece.

Stamp inside as desired.

Want to add a level of elegance to your card?  Try embossing on vellum.  It just adds another layer of beauty to that special card you are sending that says "this is made with love and care!"

I used the Lovely Lattice stamp and heat embossed it on vellum using Versamark ink and the white embossing powder.  I then turned the image over and colored in the flowers and petals with stampin' blends on the BACK side of the vellum - Lovely Lipstick for the flowers, Granny Apple Green for the leaves, and Daffodil Delight for the flower centers.

I used the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and added a white strip on the right side.  The vellum was adhered to a piece of Whisper White card stock (5 1/4" x 4").  That was mounted on the card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4").

The sentiment is from the Lasting Lily stamp set, and is also heat embossed on the Old Olive card stock.

Love the flower image in this stamp set and the sentiments.  This was the first time I sat down and stamped with it, and I will be using it a lot more! 

Two of the flowers are stamped on the cardstock, and the third one was stamped and then fussy cut and placed on the card for dimension with dimensionals.  Love the colors in both of these cards using Pear Pizzaz, Grapefruit Grove, and Gorgeous Grape.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Botanical Butterflies DSP set.  It is such beautiful paper! The butterfly was punched out from the DSP with the Butterfly Duet Punch.

We all need a little sping time incentive, and this card is a breath of fresh spring air!! The Petal Palette Stamp set is one of my favorite's from Stampin' Up Annual Catalog (page 119).  It has the elements I love - flowers and a bird, and sweet sentiments!  The Coordinating Petals & More Thinlits Dies add that extra touch to the beautiful images.  I've used black and white gingham paper from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper, available for free with a $50.00 order (before tax and shipping charges) until March 31st. The flowers are colored in with Flirty Flamingo.  

Card base: Bushing Bride, 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

First mat: Whisper White card stock, 5 1/4" x 4"

This was a practice run for some wedding cards I have to make.  I really like the way it turned out and wanted to share it!  Most of the flowers are stamped using the Forever Lovely stamp set from Stampin' Up Occasions catalog.  The first sentiment is from the Dandilion Wishes stamp set.  The middle sentiment "lovely" is from Forever Lovely, and the last sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage stamp set.  The colors I used are Pear Pizzaz, Blushing Bride, and Whisper White.  Directions follow.

This is the outside piece.  Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4 1/4" x 11".  Score at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4" on the long side.  This makes the Z fold.  Piece of mat DSP is 2 1/2" x 4."  Stamp the other end with greenery stamp and flower stamp from Forever Lovely.

The inside piece is a piece of Pear Pizzaz card stock, cut 9" x 3 3/4" and scored at 3" and 6" on the long side.  The three mat DSP pieces are 3 5/8" x 2 7/8." The three white card stock sentiment pieces are 2 1/2" x 3 1/4." 

Adhere inside piece to outside piece.  Enjoy!

ON LEFT SIDE OF FRONT, ADHERE ONE 13" PIECE OF ORGANDY RIBBON.  ADHERE ANOTHER 8" PIECE AND LAY ACROSS THE FRONT TO THE RIGHT.  BRING THE LONG 13" PIECE ON THE LEFT AROUND THE BACK OF THE CARD TO THE FRONT RIGHT.  A SMALL AMOUNT OF ADHESIVE ON THE BACK OF THE CARD WILL HELP HOLD THE RIBBON IN PLACE.

POP THE SENTIMENT PIECE ON THE FRONT WITH DIMENSIONALS, ADHERING TO THE LEFT SIDE ONLY.

Reminders of springtime are so welcome this time of year!  This card is easy to make, and you can almost smell the roses and hear the bees! 

Supplies:

Cut - Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Old Olive), scored at 4 1/4"

Cut - White mat piece: 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" (Whisper White)

Cut - Designer Series Paper mat piece (Floral Romance) 5 1/4" x 4"

Piece of Whisper White for trellis, 5" x 3"

Piece of Whisper White for Roses 5" x 3"

Piece of Whisper White for tag 3" x 3"

Stampin' Blends, Highland Heather, Old Olive, and Pineapple Punch

Black Memento Ink

Frosted Flower Embellisments

Directions:

Stamp Rose flower image and color in with stampin' blends.

Using the tag die from the Rose Trellis thinlits dies, cut the tag out of part of the colored rose image, leaving white on part of the tag to stamp the sentiment.

Layer mat pieces and then trellis on card base.  Adhere colored roses image. Place tag on using dimensionals.

Add purple frosted embellishment.

There's nothing quite as cute as a new baby, and all the things that go with having a new baby!  This card was so much fun to make, and turned out so cute (although not as cute as a new baby)!

I CASED this from a youtube video done by Dawn of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.  I added a belly band to my card to wrap around it because of the thickness from the accordian folds in the middle.  Directions for the card are below!

Directions:

Cut base 8" x 5 1/2".  Score at 4"

Cut piece for accordian fold - 5 1/4" x 10"  Score at 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", 7" and 8"

Cut 6 designer series paper strips 5 1/8" x 7/8"

Cut one 1 x 11 1/2" piece card stock for belly band.  Score at 2 1/2" and 6 3/4"

Stamp Kangaroo on white card stock.  Color as desired. (I used light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend and light Coastal Cabana)

Cut Kangaroo piece with rectangular framelit dies.

Cut large rectangle for front of card with rectangular framelit dies.

Punch out decorative shapes for accordian folds.  I used Animal Expedition DSP and punched out pics from the DSP with 1 1/4" circle punch and 1 3/8" scallop circle punch.

Add DSP to rectangular shape areas of accordian piece, fold and crease with bone folder.

Stamp inside of card as desired.

Add linen thread bow to kangaroo with glue dot.

Stamp kangaroo face to belly band to line up with kangaroo body on front of card.  Fold belly band around card and adhere ends of belly band.  Add linen thread bow.

Glue ends of accordian piece to card base.  Add tabs to accordian folds.
