A NOTE FROM VERNA ~ Roses and Butterflies!!

How about a preview of springtime?  It's that time of year when winter begins to wear on me and I'm looking for images of new life and spring!  Here's a beautiful card using new items from the 2019 Occasions Catalog - Forever Lovely stamp set and Butterfly Gala Designer Series paper! Lovely Lasting Lily

This bridge fold card was made using the Lovely Lasting Lily stamp set.  The bridge across the front was cut using one of the dies in the Delicate Lace edgelits.  The free card recipe is below!

Lasting Lily Bridge Fold Card Recipe:

Card stock: 

Pear Pizazz (131201) -  8” x 4 ¼” (base of card)

Flirty Flamingo (141416) – “4 x 2 ¾” (piece lily is stamped on)

Very Vanilla – (101650) 4 1/8” x 2 7/8” (cut two – one for front and one for back of card); scrap piece, 1” x 2 ½”

Designer Series Paper:

Petal Promenade (146913) – 1 1/8” x 4 1/8” (2 for ends of card)

Score card base at 1 ¼”, 2 ½”, 5 ½”, 6 ¾”.  Adhere large Very Vanilla piece to center of card and back center. Stamp lily on Flirty Flamingo Piece with Flirty Flamingo ink.  Lay on Very Vanilla center piece.  Place sequins.  Adhere DSP to ends.  Cut bridge piece.  Punch out tag and stamp greeting.  Adhere to bridge piece. Adhere bridge piece to ends with Tear and Tape. Fold and re-fold to fit into A4 envelope (will fit with one end folded).  Enjoy!

Butterflies are in the winter air!!

Love the "Spring" feel of this card.  It's made with the new Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch - all from the new Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog that will be released tomorrow, January 3, 2019.  Yay!!

The gingham paper is so beautiful, and because it's double-sided, you have a choice of large or smaller gingham checks. This Z-fold card was also made using one of the Delicate Lace Edgelits, to give it that beautiful lace edging.  The recipe for this card is below.

Z-Fold Card Recipe:

Cardstock for card base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".  Score at 1 1/4" and 4 1/4" to fold and create "Z" pattern.

Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper: 3" x 5 1/2" and also  1 1/4" x 5 1/2"

7" piece of Dotted Swiss Lace

Score cardstock. 

Run thinnest decorative lace edgelit on 1 1/4" end of cardstock through Big Shot.

Place lace on the front side, draping over edges around to back.  Tape this edge down to card front using tear and tape.  

Adhere Gingham DSP to front and other edge of card.  

Stamp butterflies, and color with markers.  

Punch out Label for base of front butterfly, using Label Me Pretty stamp set and Pretty Label Punch.

Adhere large butterfly to label on front, and small butterfly to upper right of inside of card.

Stamp appropriate sentiment inside.
