Flower Shop Fun

Enough of Christmas Cards for a while!  It's the end of summer, and I want to focus on one of my favorite Stampin' Up stamp sets.  It is also one of the most versatile stamp sets ~ Flower Shop.  This card was created using one of the stamps from the set.

   Flowershopcelebrate

One flower is colored in with Flirty Flamingo ink.  The mat piece and ribbon are also in Flirty Flamingo.  The sentiment is stamped on the Pansy Punch flower, of which I have also brushed the edges with Rich Razzleberry ink.  The flower is adhered with dimensionals and an enamel heart adorns it. The sentiment and small flowers are from the Weather Together stamp set.

Card base: 5 1/2" x 8" piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock, scored at 4 1/4"

Mat: 5 1/4" x 4" Flirty Flamingo card stock.

Art piece: 5" x 3 3/4" Whisper White card stock

Stamp whisper white card stock with flower of your choice from Flower Shop stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink.

Color in one or two flowers with Flirty Flamingo, using Stamp n write marker.

Punch out flower with Pansy Punch and sponge brush edges with Rich Razzleberry.

Add sentiment and enamel heart and adhere with dimensionals.

Add ruched ribbon across white art piece.

Adhere all pieces to card base.

Add 5 1/4" x 4" Whisper White piece to inside and stamp with your choice of sentiment.

Save 10 percent on the Flower Shop and Pansy Punch if purchased as a bundle!

Mittens with love!

I'm sitting on my porch in 80 degree weather, and I know, it's a little warm to be talking about mittens, but I have the cutest mitten to share with you!

Mitten

Inside:  Merry Christmas from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

This warm snuggly was made with the new Cable Knit Textured Impressions embossing folder (#143537) found on page 13 of the new Stampin' Up Holiday catalog.  (If you would like a catalog, let me know).  I LOVE this pattern that pops out on the paper.

The Cable Knit embossing folder is extra large and thick, so when running it through the Big Shot, you only need to use one of the acrylic plates.  Your layer will consist of the platform (2nd tab), acrylic plate, and embossing folder on top.

The cute white cuff was cut using the edge thinlet in the Ready to Pop bundle.  The sentiment is also from that bundle.

The mitten was popped on using Dimensionals, and I also used Dimensionals for the heart.

The baker's twine was threaded through the button and then tied in a bow.

This is what you need:

Cut out mitten on Real Red card stock.

Card base - Real Red card stock 4 1/4 x 11

Mat - Whisper White card stock 5 3/8 x 4 1/8

Heart shape - punched out with Stampin' Up heart punch

Sentiment - Ready to Pop stamp set

Cuff - Ready to Pop thinlet set

White button

In color enamal shape (heart)

Cherry Cobbler baker's twine

Shining STARS and the STAR OF LIGHT stamp set!

I just received my first order from the new Holiday Catalog.  One of the stamp sets is a beautiful set with several star stamps, Christmas sentiments and optional matching dies.  It is the STAR OF LIGHT stamp set.

I created this card using the STAR OF LIGHT stamp set.  The Night of Navy card stock is a great contrast to the Whisper White stars and white embossed ink on the front of the card.  The swirl of heavenly dust and sentiment were stamped on with Versamark ink.  I then used white embossing powder over the ink to create the lovely raised white print.

       StarofLight1

The star is actually two different stars cut using the Big Shot and the framelits in the bundle.  The top delicate star is layered onto the solid white star in the back.  I used dimensionals in the center part of the delicate star to raise it up.  Finish with a Wink of Stella and 1/8" gold ribbon trim across the top.

Inside reads:  "Became the Light of the World"

Ink your day with joy!

I created this Christmas card using stamps from this set and three stamps from In the Meadow:

Christmasthoughtfulbranches 002

Supplies:

Paper:

  • 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Emerald Envy card stock scored at 4 1/4"
  • 5 1/4" x 4" Real Red card stock for mat
  • 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Crumb Cake card stock for mat
  • 3 3/8" x 4 5/8" Very Vanilla card stock for artwork
  • Scrap of Crumb Cake for banner
  • Scrap of Real Red for bird

Ink:

  •  Read Red for greeting
  • Crushed Curry for star
  • Tip Top Taupe for mountains and tree
  • Garden Green for tree and grass
  • Soft Suede for deer

Other:

  •     Emerald Envy Bakers twine
  •   Tree builder punch for bird

Directions:

Stamp deer in lower right corner of very vanilla piece.  Create tree mask by stamping tree on separate piece of paper and cutting out (not fussy).  Place  bottom of tree (mask) about 1/2" from small deer's tail.  Stamp mountain across card (and tree mask).  Remove tree mask and stamp tree in blank spot.  Stamp grass spots and star.  Add banner stamped with sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Add red bird.  Add layers to base.

So sweet and fun to make!
